The Ujjayanta Palace

As per the scriptures of Shiv Puran, Lord Vishnu has cut Sati into 51 pieces with his divine Astra—Sudarshana Chakra, when the gods found the news that Lord Shiva was wandering in mourn and bearing the pain of separation from Sati. They realized if Lord Shiva didn’t come back on his natural state, then the world would destroy, and as a consequence, Sati’s mortal body has to be cut into pieces, which are now known as the Shaktipeethas.
